A big concern for the homeowner these days
is how "green" the homestead is.
We all want to save money by making sure
that we "do are part". It seems
automatic to recycle plastic and paper,
keep unused lights off and use resources
sparingly, but did you know that by making
a few adjustments to your bathroom fixtures
can greatly reduce the strain on your surrounding
environment, not to mention your water bill?
A-Ram Plumbing is trained to offer green
repair and installation options for home
owners to ensure strong resources for the
future.

What
is green Plumbing?
Green
Plumbing is water conservation that reducing the
usage of water and recycling of waste water for
different purposes like cleaning , manufacturing
, agriculture. We install low-flow toilets and fixtures
that reduce the amount of water, but without the
loss preasure. items such as "solor powered
hot water heaters" are used instead of gas
or electric ones in order to save energy and bring
your utilites bill down!
Another
"saver" in green plumbing is the use of
recycled material such as pvc, copper, & cast
iron pipes. We never throw away anything! Materials
that can be considered "scrap" at one
job site will either be used at another job site
or re-cycled.
How
we started with Green Plumbing
In
2007, A-Ram’s management started to research
the green conservation market that was at the forefront
in the plumbing industry. Because of A-Ram's past
performance and business partnership with SAWS, they
offered free green conversation training through
their small business outreach services. A-Ram
business owners and employees took advantage of
this free educational opportunity in hopes of attracting
a different plumbing market and more importantly,
educating our current and existing clients on LEED
and water conservation plumbing tips.
In 2009, A-Ram was awarded it’s first Green
Leader in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED)
plumbing project by Jerry Kachel Builders
out of Houston, Tx. We were given this business
opportunity and completed successfully, a new constructed
Red Lobster Restaurant located
on 410/Callaghn in San Antonio TX. This business
accomplishment will be instrumental in allowing
A-Ram to showcase their LEED Green Plumbing Construction
ability and capacity in efforts to capture more
commercial business and win future Green LEED Plumbing
projects.
With our past green conservation plumbing experience
with SAWS, U.S. GSA and most recently, our first
LEED Green plumbing project (Red Lobster), A-Ram
staff is positioned at a perfect time to provide
SAHA with value-added service by offering suggestions
on water conservation and "green" plumbing
devices and by providing continuous "repair
vs replacement" analysis and other cost containment
metrics to aggressively support SAHA's need and
desire for efficiency and cost savings on this plumbing
contract.
